INCI: Calendula Officinalis Flower (Calendula), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil.
Method of obtaining: maceration of marigold flowers in almond oil.
The marigold flower was a cult plant of the ancient Mayan and Inca civilisations. Considered to be the flower of the sun, given by the Gods to the people for their health, happiness and prosperity.
Acts as an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, regenerative, emollient, disinfectant and soothing. Helps improve blood circulation, warms the skin and reduces inflammation. Reduces swelling and puffiness after limb sprains, stimulates wound healing, relieves pain.
Soothes the skin after sunburn, strengthens blood vessels, eliminates itching and irritation. Reduces wound bleeding, wound scarring and smooths skin after sutures.
It is known in the cosmetic industry for its moisturising, emollient and anti-inflammatory effects.
Purpose:

Marigold oil can be used for lubrication and massage without dilution in its pure form or as an ingredient when formulating blends. Occurs as an additive to enrich cosmetics (lotions, masks, creams).
