Description
Verbena, according to Christian legend, grew under the cross to wrap the Savior's wounds. Therefore, it was called "holy herb" and was believed to protect against evil spells. It was almost a standard plant used for magical practices, it was especially used in the preparation of love potions, but was also used for other types of magical practices designed to harm or help.
In Swiss folk medicine, vervain is used to stimulate lactation, as a diuretic and anti-rheumatic.
Verbena is highly regarded as an effective remedy for clearing blood vessels.
