Shungite is a unique natural, eco-friendly mineral containing over 20 trace elements beneficial to humans, including active-form globular carbon. Shungite is a mysterious mineral approximately 2 billion years old and the only natural mineral on Earth that contains fullerenes—hollow spherical molecules made of several tens to hundreds of carbon atoms. Fullerenes were first synthesized in an electric arc flame and later discovered in shungite.

Structurally, fullerenes resemble hollow carbon “footballs,” with their surfaces formed by interconnected carbon hexagons creating a lattice shell. These carbon spheres, also called “carbonic globules” or “clusters,” vary in size and contain from 60 up to several hundred carbon atoms, often enclosing other molecules that impart unique properties.

What makes shungite especially valuable is not only the presence of fullerenes but also the water-soluble organo-mineral complex within it, composed of 97–99% organic compounds preserved from ancient biological material on the seabed over 2 billion years ago. This complex defines the biological activity of the fullerenes.

Indications

How to Use

Apply a 1 mm layer of gel to the affected area. Cover with a film and use a compress for 0.5 to 2.5 hours. Wash off with warm water afterward.
