OLIVEM 1000 Emulsifier, Esent

INCI: Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate

OLIVEM 1000 is a non-ionic emulsifier used to create "oil in water" (O/W) emulsions. It is made exclusively from natural raw materials, including olive oil, and is certified by organizations such as ECO CERT for use in ecological cosmetics.

It does not require additional stabilizing additives.

Moisturizing and smoothing effects
Effective in a wide pH range from 3 to 12
Suitable for emulsions containing ingredients with low pH, such as hydrolates below pH 4

Usage Concentrations Examples

Milk: 4% emulsifier, 10% fat phase
Light cream: 6% emulsifier, 20% fat phase
Heavy cream: up to 9% emulsifier, 37% fat phase

Sample Cream Preparation

Heat two separate vessels with the fat phase (including emulsifier) and water phase in a water bath at 50–70°C.
Mix fat phase and emulsifier until the emulsifier dissolves completely.
Gradually add portions of the water phase while stirring intensively.
Cool the cream by transferring the vessel to a cold water bath, stirring continuously until fully cooled to prevent separation.
