Description
DHA + BA Preservative for Cosmetics
Two-component preservative approved by certification bodies such as Ecocert and Soil for preserving ecological cosmetics. The product is cruelty-free.
Composition
Contains Dehydroacetic Acid and Benzyl Alcohol — effective and safe preserving agents.
Usage and Effectiveness
Recommended concentration in cosmetics is from 0.2% to 1%. Depending on concentration, it preserves products for 2 to 6 months. Effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, molds, and fungi. Works in a wide pH range from 2 to 6. Does not cause cloudiness in clear products (gels, shampoos, serums). Suitable for leave-on and rinse-off cosmetics and safe for use in children’s products due to low toxicity.
Application
Add preservative at the end of the cosmetic preparation during the water phase after cooling to room temperature or below 40 °C.

Physical Properties
Transparent liquid, color ranging from yellow to brown, mild scent. Soluble in water, glycerin, glycols, and alcohol.
Storage
Store in tightly closed containers at room temperature.
Technical Recommendations
Use at pH 2.0–6.0. Above pH 6, effectiveness decreases. Add at temperatures below 40 °C.
