Marsh Cinquefoil has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. In folk medicine it is used as a remedy for swelling, blood and lymph stasis in the lower extremities. It has a strong regenerative effect on joint tissue while helping to treat rheumatic disorders.
Comfrey (Symphytum officinale L.) has been one of the most valuable medicinal plants since ancient times. Ancient Roman warriors treated wounds with it, Paracelsus treated ulcers, bone fractures, water extracts were given for internal bleeding. In modern unconventional medicine, resinost is used in the form of tinctures, infusions, for baths, compresses, as an astringent, emollient, anti-inflammatory and healing agent. Used for fractures, it accelerates the filling of bone defects (hence the plant's name). It is also used externally for frostbite, burns, eczema, abscesses and hard-to-heal wounds. It stimulates cell growth in skin defects.
