Bishofit is a natural mineral found deep underground as magnesium chloride salt crystals. It is extracted by dissolving these crystals in water to produce a saturated solution.

Also known as Magnesium Oil or Magnesium Chloride Solution, Bishofit is an odorless, oily, transparent liquid with a slight yellowish tint. Its main component is magnesium chloride (96%), along with calcium sulphate, calcium chloride, calcium hydrocarbonate, sodium chloride, and an overall mineral content of 400–450 g/l. Bishofit additionally contains trace elements including sodium, iodine, iron, bromide, silica, molybdenum, titanium, lithium, and nearly all chemical elements from the periodic table.
