Properties and Aroma

Sweet orange essential oil is one of the most popular and accessible essential oils worldwide. With its cheerful, sunny aroma and versatile properties, it is widely appreciated for its ability to care for both skin and hair, support emotional balance, and deodorise indoor spaces.

This bright, citrusy oil is extracted through cold pressing from the peel and whole ripe fruit of the sweet orange (Citrus sinensis). It is a light yellow to orange liquid with a characteristic sweet orange scent. Note: it may leave orange stains due to natural pigments and oxidises quickly, darkening over time.

⚠️ Always dilute before use. Essential oils should be combined with a base oil or other emulsifier (e.g., honey, milk, salt). They are not water-soluble.

• Citrus and conifer oils: Lemon, grapefruit, pine

• Especially effective with lavender (ratio 1:1)

How to Use

• Cosmetic Enrichment: Add 3–5 drops to 10–15 ml of base (vegetable oil, cream, lotion, etc.)

• Massage: Mix 4–5 drops with 1–2 tbsp of base oil or cream. For children, use 1 drop per 2 tbsp of peach oil

• Baths: Add 5–7 drops mixed with 1–2 tbsp of emulsifier (milk, honey, sea salt) to warm bathwater (37–38 °C). Soak for 10–15 min. For children: 1 drop in 1 tbsp milk per bath

• Sauna: Add 5–10 drops (or blend) to a container of hot water and place in the steam room

• Room Scenting: Add 5–6 drops to aroma lamp filled with water, or apply to a napkin or bowl of hot water placed on a radiator. Duration: 15–30 min. Use 1–2 drops for children's rooms

For external use only. Do not apply undiluted to skin.
Avoid use during pregnancy, with high blood pressure, or epilepsy.
Keep away from eyes.
Do not apply to skin less than 1 hour before sun exposure—may cause irritation due to photosensitivity.

Store tightly closed, in a cool, dark place, away from children. Do not expose to direct sunlight. Max temperature: +25 °C.
