Seitan – Wheat Protein (100% Vegan)
Seitan is a 100% vegan, high-protein product made from pure wheat gluten. When prepared, it develops a texture similar to meat, making it an excellent meat substitute in popular dishes such as burgers, steaks, stews, cutlets, and more.
You can fry, bake, braise, or grill it just like meat. Its taste depends entirely on the spices and marinades you use, offering great versatility in the kitchen.
Preparation Instructions
Prepare your seitan in 3 easy steps:

Mix the dough: Pour 1 cup of water into a bowl, then add the entire package of seitan powder. Stir (preferably with a fork) until the mixture absorbs all the water and no lumps remain.

Form the pieces: In a medium pot, bring 1.5 liters of water to a boil and add a pinch of salt. Divide the dough into walnut-sized pieces and flatten each one slightly.

Cook: Drop the pieces into the boiling water and cook covered on low heat for approximately 30 minutes.
