Hydrolate obtained from fresh bitter orange flowers (Citrus Aurantium Amara) in the process of steam distillation. It has the form of an almost colorless liquid with a spicy scent.

Action
Applied to the skin, it soothes inflammation, has a soothing effect, reduces redness.
Protects collagen and elastin compact in the skin from premature decomposition (i.e. slows down the signs of aging).
Another very desirable feature of hydrolate is the regulation of sebaceous glands and stimulation of microcirculation in the skin, hence it is recommended for oily skin, acne, vascular skin with redness, etc. It contains bioflavonoids with antioxidant properties.
It has delicate astringent properties, hence it should not be used on very dry skin.
The aroma of hydrolate has a relaxing and toning effect, without causing drowsiness.
How to use
Hydrolate is an excellent raw material/base for preparing mists, micellar fluids, toning fluids. Hydrolate has a relatively low pH and can irritate very delicate skin.
The recommended concentration in this type of cosmetic formulas is 30-100%.
It can be used as an additive/component of creams/serums, a component of hypoallergenic perfumes, or as an additive to intimate hygiene fluids. In all formulations, it will contribute its antiseptic, soothing, and regenerating properties.
In cosmetics, it is often used to mix peelings or powder masks, as an ingredient in perfumed waters.
