Naproxen has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. Levomenthol produces a cooling sensation on the skin and has a local anaesthetic effect, causes local vasodilation and facilitates the penetration of naproxen into the affected tissues.
Chloral hydrate causes favourable reflex vasodilation due to its mildly irritant properties.
